Our Local Environment - Matilda

In our school we have a small gymnastics hall and a large gymnastics hall. We have the large gymnastics hall on Thursdays and the small one on Mondays.

I choose to write about the large one, because I train ultimate frisbee there. 

In the gymnastics hall we have  four dressing room. In the dressing room we have some showers and a toilet. If you want to you can put a wall in the middle of the hall. 

I like the large one more because it's so big and not as small as the small one. I also like it more because it has more gymnastics things then the small one.

Where I live there it's a "mini centrum" where you can shop. And you can shop clothes, shoes, games and there is an optican. And when I shop there, I go to The Body shop, Ginatricot, JC, Cubus, and much more. But a short distance away from the shopping mall, It's a building named Molekylverkstan. Molekylverkstan it is a place where you can do various experimentets and try cool things. They also have teachings for children. In the building there's a shop, where you can buy, magic boxes and slime and much more.. I think it's a cool and fun place..

Hello there! I'm gonna tell you about my market-place. The marker-place is right next to the water. There's a lots of shops, game shops, coffee shops, food shops, clothes shops. In Stenungsund there is 65 stores in our market-place. And there is 1000 places where you can park your car.

I often buy things in Kappahl, Kappahl is a popular store in Sweden, you can buy clothes there. I often buy things in GameStop too, I think you can hear what kinda store it is, games, yeah.

When I am at the market-place my favourite place to eat on is Eat. They have great food and it's very delicious.

When you come through the door then you have all the rooms and in the large bathroom on the right side and The kitchen is to the left and the living room is straight forward.

Kitchen: It looks as if it is a very old kitchen that we have in my house. There are tiled floors that are red, and the cabinets are in dark wood.
We have quite a large table with a purple cloth, a fruit bowl and a vase with flowers on.

My room: My room is pretty smal. But I think that when it's a small room, it's much more cozy. I have a keyboard next to my bed.
The room has light brown walls. I have a tv and a bookshelf with two flowers and books. I have a turquoise rug.

The garden: We also have a pool at home, which is 1, 50 m deep.
Our lawn is quite large and we have a swing to my little sister and a trampoline.

My Sisters room: My little sister has a small room just like me.
She has a lot of toys, a bed and a small swing that you can hang up on a hook in the ceiling from which she can sit in and swing and spin in. In the room there is white walls. There are two shelves on the wall and a wardrobe. She has three small round rugs that have the colors Blue and pink.

Our House was built in 2001 in wood.
The House is white but Red around the boxes.


In the House there is a large laundry room with washing machine, dryer and a pair of cabinets.

We have our own carport and a large storage room.

Writing about "Our Local Environment"

Our posts about our local environment is starting to be ready as we are getting closer to the end of the term. We still need some more pictures to make them more interesting and to complete the texts. The students are getting ready for Christmas Holiday and their teacher has to encourage them with positive feedback about how much better it would be with a picture that goes with the blog post.

Before we started writing, we did some brainstorming together about what to write. Our goal is to have a variety of posts that hopefully give a broad picture about Stenungsund, where we live.

Gamestop  is a shop, where you can buy games. GameStop is in Stenungsund, gamers  buy games there and you can buy Xbox, headset and Playstation

Local environment - Rebecca

Sundahallen is a gymnasium where you can play sports and stuff. Like table tennis, floorball,soccer, shooting, wrestling, bowling, pool and you can swim too. I'm playing in a floorballteam and we practice at Sundahallen. It's a cafeteria there too so you can buy some food and candy. They are going to rebuild sundahallen so it will be bigger and it's going to be an ice rink there too.

In stenungsund in Sweden we have a thing like shop mall it's name is stenungs torg. There here we shops like team sportia,cubus,GameStop,kapphal and more. My favorite is shops are teams sportia and GameStop, In team sportia you can buy sport things like football shoes,frisbee,balls and other thing like this. And in GameStop there is games,steam card, and so. In GameStop you can play FIFA on Xbox or on PS but mostly on Xbox.

Activity center

There is an activity center not so far away from school. It's almost always open in the evenings, but just for older children that goes in grade seven, eight and nine. At the activity center there is a dance room, a music room and a room with Xbox, Wii and other games. They have a kitchen and a big room where you can talk with your friends or whatever you want. In the music room they have guitars, drums, piano and two microphones.
On summer they have open for children that goes in grade four to nine. They make compititions and trips too zoo or waterparks, it's really fun and it's good for children so they have something to do during the summer. You don't have to pay enything but if they make trips too places, you maybe have to a little bit, but not the full price. Me and my friends like to be there in the summer. We are almost always in the music room. You can rent the building too. My aunt did it when she had a party. It's great to rent it because it's big.

In my room i have withe walls with 5 pictures, of Swedens best skaters . Ioooooove figure skating.... In my room I have a bed with pillows and a cover, the covers colour is withe and the pillows colour is pink and have a mouth on. Then a have a desk with my computer on. I also have a bookshelf with a small locker on.

In our local environment we have a cinema where you can see new movies. Our cinema is very big and when you are going to the cinema you can buy candy, popcorn and soda. I sometimes go to the cinema. You must buy a ticket before you can see a movie and it usually costs about 90 Swedish crowns or 14 $ . You can buy a gift card and it cost 100 Swedish crowns or 15 $ on a cinema and give it to someone so he or she can go on the cinema free.

I play ice hockey in Norumsborg. Norumsborg is the ice hockey rink in my hometown Stenungsund. It's only a couple of minutes walk away from my school. As it is so close by we sometimes go skating during gym class. Norumsborg or Borgen(The Fortress) as we call it is rather run down but it's still my second home. I'm there at least four times a week from August to March. During spring and summer it is a sad place with neither ice nor people. The rink was built in the seventies. At first it was outdoors and many games were played in heavy rain or snow. It was covered in 1982, but not much has happened since. The community has just decided to replace it with a new one located at the main sports complex next to the high school, Nösnäsgymnasiet. I'm sure it will be nice but I will miss an early morning practise at Borgen.

The ice rink in Stenungsund is 31 years old. At first it was an outdoor ice rink and later it was built to an indoor ice rink. The ice rink is very old and it's slowly breaking down and that's why we want a new ice rink. The ice rink is a white building with orange on the top.

The ice skating area is limited by the boards. On the bleacher side there are two penalty boxes and between theses boxes there is the storekeepers' area. On the opposite side there are the two teams players bench.

It has two entrances, the main is located on the end of one long side and the other one is located on the rear short side. When you go through the main entrance you will find locker rooms on the right hand side used by both hockey teams and figure skaters. Straight ahead, you will see a staircase where the figure skating trainers and the ice rink caretaker have their rooms. Underneath these rooms there is another locker room used by older figure skaters and also by hockey referees during a hockey game.

On the left hand side of the main entrance there are two toilets and further away you reach the bleacher. Underneath the bleacher there are utility rooms where figure skating uses two of them and the hockey teams uses the rest. Use the stairs at one end of the bleacher to reach the cafeteria. At the other end of the bleacher there is the office of the hockey club and above that room there is a meeting room which is also used as a dancing room by the figure skaters.

On the opposite side of the bleacher there are locker rooms used by the hokey teams. There is also a gate which the ice resurfacer uses when it's time to clean the ice surface.

Our local environment

SIF-garden.
SIF-garden is a soccer field. We like playing there. It is fun there. SIF is also a soccer team. Anybody can join but they have to pay 100 dollars in Sweden that isn't very much but maybe in other countries it is a bit much.

It  is possible to have a trial for about a month without paying to see if you like it or not. It has three fields to play soccer on so if  a team has practice on one field or a match, then you can play on another field.

Hugo - local environment!

I live in Stenungsund. It's a middle sized city so it's not that big but we have a big shopping center called Stenungstorg. And I live around length feet away from the shopping center. 

The most popular shop for teenagers is KappAhl and a game shop called Game-stop. The most popular shop for kids is BR leksaker and that's a toy shop for small children. 

Stenungstorg has a lot of different kinds of shops some clothes,  toy and food shops. My favorite shop is game-stop because I'm a gamer. There is a sea about 100-200 meter away from the shopping center with a lot of nice boats, my grandma and grandpa has a boat there. 

At Bokia can you buy books and pencils for school, work and home. Another popular shop is JC where you can buy shirts and pants, but i don't like JC that much but some of my friends do.

Sundahallen



Sundahallen is a place where you can swim, go bowling, play a lot of sports and other stuff. Sometimes we are there with school and swim. I'm not there so often but I think it's fun there. Me and my family or friends go there sometimes and play bowling or swim.
Some of the sports you play there are: Floorball, basketball, table tennis and some other sports.



Nösnäs stadium is a place next to Sundahallen. It's a athletics stadium. You can also play soccer there. Our soccer team (Stenungsunds if) play there. Sweden's national soccer team (women) was there last summer. Swedish national team for men have also been there. Also the Brazilian national soccer team have been there.



The track and field events you can do there is running (100, 200 and more), high jump, pole vault, long jump, triple jump and shot put. I don't think you can do any more track and field events there.

In stenungsund we have a swimming-hall. I love to swim. I'm gonna have my first swim competition, 100 meter. When I swim 50 meter I've got the time 42 seconds. I practise swimming on Monday and Saturday. But on the Saturdays it is 9-10 am and I haaaate to wake up so early, but it's worth it I think.

But the swimming-hall is very old and in 2015 they gonna build a new swimming-hall. We have only 2 pools and it's very small, so I am looking forward to compete when it's built. The swimming-hall have one big pool and a small baby pool. We have one slide too, it looks like the Mc-Donald's slide. We don't have a diving tower and I think it's bad. Some people say that it is dangerous to swim in the swimming-hall, it is poisoned. In the baby pool it is a slide too, but it is blue and smaller.

In stenungsund it's two tennis courts. there is one at sundahallen, and one at a gas station. The one at the gas station have walls of steel so when a ball hits the wall it sounds very loud.
 the tennis hall has a hard ground so i you slip, it's hurt.
 we are playing at the tennis hall at the station at the summer or winter, and the tennis hall at sundahallen at summer, because it is outside. and if you played there at the winter. it will be really cold! I've seen many people playing tennis at the courts.

   When I play tennis
I like to play tennis. When I'm doing great, it feels good! I am playing tennis with maybe four other people. and they are my friends. I don't know them so good but it is fun to play with them.

If you go to Stenungs ön, which is an island, there is a beach with both sand and rocks. There is a big bathing platform with three different diving towers. And Hawaii is also a good fishing place, fishes I try to catch is mackerel and sea trout. To catch these fishes you can use a simple fishing rod and a simple fishing reel, you can most use any blank shining lure.

My favorite place in my environment is "Sundahallen". It's because I mostly have my floorball trainings there. But you can play almost any sport there. You can go swim, play bowling and much much more! You can even play billiard. They also have shooting, where you can shoot with soft/air weapons.

I have chosen to write about my favorite place in the world, which is my home.

Open the door, and you will probably see a lot of shoes on the carpet and jackets hanging on gallows. And if you look to the right you'll see my room and my sisters room to the left. Take 5 steps and look to the left. You'll se the toilet. Take 4 more steps and look straight forward. You'll my living room. To the right, we have an untuned piano. Look obliquely right. That's where we have placed our couch turned to the left. Opposite the couch we have our TV. And that's about it for the living room. Take 1 step back and look to the right. You'll se the stairs. Walk down the stairs and look to the left. That's our "teenage room". It has a dark blue couch, a computer and a smaller TV. If you look straight forward (from the end of the stairs), you'll se our second toilet. Take 5 steps to the right, and you're in our kitchen. We have a 6-person table, a sink with a lot of boxes and cabinets under it, and a stove with an oven underneath it. Imagine the stove in front of you, looking to the left. You'll se our laundry room. And if you look to the right, you'll see our backyard. If you look behind you, you'll see my third sisters room.

Well,  that's my entire house.

In my school we have a lots of rooms and in the rooms there is a lots of chairs and benches.

We have a big dining area. 

This is a school for 0-9 grade(Swedish grade).

The color on the school is brick red and in the class room the walls is white.

In the class room we have a whiteboard on the wall and on the whiteboard we look on movies.

We have Appel TV, projector and speaker.

My favorite food

I don't really like the school food because they have started to put more vegatables in the food. But sometimes it is really good food like pancakes, meatballs or hamburgers. But at home I use to make chicken salad, it takes very long time but when I'm finish it's very good! When I make chicken salad I use chicken and salad of corse and then I have tomato, cucumber, melon, grapes and feta cheese. I very often serve it with milk. Something more I like is my uncles spaghetti and bolognese because he don't put onions and weird stuffs in it and he get a very special color on the bolognese. When we 
eat that I always eat most of all.

Tiramisu comes from Italy and it is made of ladyfingers dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of eggs yolks and mascarpone cheese, and flavored with cocoa. I LOVE TIRAMISU!!

I like Sports very much my favorite sport is Football or in America the call it soccer I'm pretty good at it too. But I like games to some people thinks it's wired cause I'm good at sports fast and strong but I like to play games too. I like MMO games cause sometimes I play with my friends and I meet new people

My favorite breakfast is fried bread, egg and bacon. It's pretty unhealthy. It's my father who makes it and I really loves it.

My favorite food is my grandmother's home made meatballs with potatoes and her sauce. Umm delisous but it's one little problem. It take a very long time to do, so I don't get it so often.
My favorite dessert is chocolate cake it tastes very good.

I like to eat pancakes. My brother and I make pancakes sometimes but not too often because it's not healthy. I usually have blueberrys or sugar on them but sometimes I don't have anything on my pancakes.

My favourite food is hamburger because it is very tasty. My favourite sweet is brownie.  It is very good and I can bake it. I like to have ice-creme. I like vanilla, it is good.

It's easy to make pancakes you take milk, eggs, flour and mix after a recipes.
I can do pancakes all by my self. Sometimes we get it in school but it's taste better home.

Fudge bar with Cheerios and peanuts

In case my movie was unclear:

14 oz of fudge/caramels (I used vanilla fudge, but I found it a little bit to sweet...) 1/4 cup of water 3/4 cup of peanut butter (I could'nt find peanut butter here, where I live, so I used ordinary margarine

4 cups of Cheerios (I took 3 1/2, because it looked like it was enough, but it wasn't, so the fudge took over the whole recipe...)

1 cup of salted peanuts

29 oz of baking chocolate (melted)

Instructions:

Melt the fudge/caramels, peanut butter/margaine in a pan on low heat.

Add to the melted mixture the Cheerios and the peanuts and mix everything well.

Place it as flat as possible in a tin with making paper, and you´re done with layer one.

Melt chocolate. Double boiling this is the best bay, since you might burn the chocolate if you don´t. Pour the melted chocolate over layer one, and BAAM, you have a second layer.

But the cake in the refrigerator for a good hour or two. Take it out, cut it into smaller pieces and eat. I hope you give this one a try and if you do - GOOD LUCK!!!

One of my favorite food is my dad's home made pizza with chesse, mozzarella, tomato sauce, tomatoes, fresh herbs, and minced meat.

My favorite food is pizza. I eat pizza mabye one time in 1-2 month so I don't get to fat. I use to have a pizza named Hawaii or a recepi that I did myself. My own recepi is a pizza with cheese, shrimp, banana and of curse pizza bread.

In school is my favorite food meatballs, but the potatoes doesn't taste that good.
I've got another favorite food in school and that is pancakes.
But most of the food in school don't taste that good but you can eat it if you really have to. My favorite food at home is pancakes. I really love my moms pancakes. Most people prefer to have like sugar or strawberry jam on the pancakes but i prefer to have nothing on my pancakes.

My favourite food is Tacos. I think it tastes really nice! I usually have tomatoes, corn, guacamole, cheese, mincemeat and sour cream on mine. It's often my parents who does it. But sometimes I help them. Sometimes we get it at school. It's from Mexico but there are many people in Sweden who eats it.

Cabbage Rolls is one of my favourite dishes. I have potatoes brown sauce to it. There is meat in a Cabbage roll. My mother makes them.

Swedish food and my favorite food Freddy

I'm gonna tell you about Swedish food. The typical food in Sweden is meatballs , a thing called ”sill"(Herring) it is like a little fish you eat. Sill have different tastes. Like onion, dill and other tastes. Lax (Salmon) is another thing, it is a fish too and it is orange and it tastes really good. Potato is not Swedish but it tastes good with sill and lax. My favourite is Thai food. Noodles and chicken is my favourite but i like most of the thai food.

We have science with mr Sernesteand. In our work we research on diseases. We have 1 week to get the work done. I haven't worked with it so mouch, so I must work with it a little more. Tommorow it's wednesday, so we gonna have a presentation. 

10.00-10.20 am we have brake. We often play fotball.

10.20-11.00 am we have French. 

11.00 we have lunch and a break. 

11.40 am we go back to french and we work until 12.20 pm. And we have a break to 12:40 pm.

12.40-02.40 pm we halves the class and the one half go to home economics and the other one have science lab.

And 02.40 we have reached the end!

Holidays :)

When we have recess I like to do fun things. According to me this is funny to do.

3. tent in our garden

6. Play TV games eg call of duty with my cousin. Or just dance 4

After breakfast I brush my teeths.

At 8:00 am. I go to school. And play on my iPad before school starts.
8:20 am. The first lesson starts. We usually have math. Then after half the time we switch to something other.
9:40 am. The lesson ends. And we have a 20 minutes break.
10:00 am. The lesson begins. We usually have Geographic.
11:30 am. We have lunchbreak.
12:10 pm. The break is over and we have lesson. We have Gymnastic.
1:10 pm. Gymnastic is over and we have a small break.
1:30 pm. The break is over and we have lesson. We have English.
2:20 pm. School ends!

      7: am. My alarm wakes me up. I put my clothes on and eat breakfast. 

  I give the cats and the dog food and water then I walk the dog. Then I watch Tv or play on my iPad.

7.35:am. I check that I have everything with me and then I put on my helmet on and my key so I can look the door and take the bike to school.

7.45: am. I look my bike at the bike parking and enter the School.
8.20: am. School starts.
9.40:am. Break

On Wednesday we start at 8:20 a m to 10:00 a m and we have My true story
At 10:20 a m to 10:50 a m we have language selection. I have French.
At 11:40 a m we have other lesson off language selection.
At 12:40 p m we have HKK/no lab, that's Home Economics and science lab.

11.20: Lunch and lunchbreak.

12.10: The lunch is over and we go to class. We have My true story.

1.10: Break.

1.30: We have My true story again.

2.20 The school is over.

My school day morning

At 7 AM I wake up put my clothes on Then Walk my brother to school And then I go to school. When the lesson starts we usually do a lot of different things. We got the iPad this year so we work with that pretty much it's quite fun.
